Hailing from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Deisy Suarez immigrated to the United States when she was just eight years old. Raised in New York City, she was passionate about beauty and wellness from the start. Although her family struggled, she found solace in creating scrubs and beauty treatments with the little ingredients she would find in the kitchen. From using leftover avocado for face masks to practicing makeup, Deisy created her first clientele when she was merely 12 years old. After assisting a Mary-Kay and Avon rep and working at her aunt’s salon, Deisy eventually became an esthetician and a certified makeup artist crafting her skills at the Learning Institute of Beauty Science and Marinello School of Beauty. Continuing her education, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from UTESA, in Santiago de los Caballeros Dominican Republic and received her Western and Eastern massage certification as a CMT at the National Holistic Institute.
In 2004, Deisy founded her very first company: Desuar Cosmetics. Making her dream a reality, she created a Body Lotion and the Dual Action Enzyme Papaya Cleanser, which was formulated with skincare experts in South Korea. In 2010, she went on to open her first Desuar Spa in Downtown Los Angeles. Expanding to three locations, including Hollywood and Monterey, Deisy’s success story continues.
A published author, Deisy wrote “Marriage Material” and is currently writing her second book, “Holy Skin.” She speaks at top beauty summits and events, including for American Spa Magazine, “Women, Wealth, Warriors” and more. Giving back, Deisy has contributed to Innocence Project, The Orangutan Project, Downtown LA Jewish Community Center, LAPD Central Boosters, Dignity Health, Downtown Women’s Center and more. She also volunteers for Living Water Children’s Centre in Tanzania, Africa where she applies her touch therapy to healing orphan children. An accomplished businesswoman and beauty expert, Deisy Suarez juggles her career success and motherhood.

None of this success would be possible without Deisy’s life-long commitment to learning. In 2010, she attended the National Holistic Institute in Massage Therapy, to become a certified and licensed Massage The
rapist, successfully completing her massage program by acquiring 720 hours of training in Western and Eastern massage modalities. The following year Deisy went back to school to study and become a certified and licensed Esthetician also.
She recently graduated from the University of California Irvine Continuing Education Division, with a major in Spa and Hospitality Management and has pursued other certifications such as Cidesco for Advanced Skin Analysis, Phytomer, Hydrafacial MD, and others.
With her entrepreneurial spirt and emphasis on education, it is no surprise that Deisy has been featured in Forbes, LA Magazine, Zoe Report, Voyage LA, Spa Insider, Well and Away, DTLA Weekly, DTLA Life, Coast to Coast, Style & Society, and MTV. She has also worked with many Hollywood celebrities and sports figures.
